SIA “Viesmīlība mežezers” is a family business that offers winter and summer seasonal services for sports and recreation. The company started its operations in the winter of 2019 with the aim of providing ski lift and rental services. Before that, Mežezers had been operating as a sports and recreation complex since Soviet times, leaving evidence of this in the territory – the old buildings of the complex and an unfinished hotel.
In winter, “Mežezers” operates ski lifts, artificial snow is produced and professionally prepared ski and snowboard trails are made. Skiers and snowboarders can rent equipment with everything they need and instructors who are not only experienced, but also friendly and patient – they will help you take your first steps on skis or a board and feel more confident on the mountain. Those who do not ski have the opportunity to go for walks and enjoy the magic of winter, have fun on the tube slide and warm up with a warm drink by the fireplace.
In the summer, the guest house “Mežezers” offers a place for organizing children’s camps, providing full service – accommodation, catering, a nurse and security. In the territory it is possible to organize sports games/corporate events for up to 3,000 people. Beds are available for 70 people, tent sites for up to 3,000.
A cafe is open in summer and winter, and sauna services with an outdoor pool are available, in which 12 springs flow from the mountain’s underground lake. The water has energy-restoring properties and a constant +4°C water temperature throughout the season.
